About the event
Uzhhorod Half Marathon 2026 was a charity race that brought together more than 1,000 participants in Uzhhorod. The event aimed to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, promote mass-participation running events, and develop the city’s sporting potential.
Participants could choose a distance based on their level of preparation:
- Half marathon — 21.1 km;
- “Ten” race — 10 km;
- 2×5 km relay;
- Sakura Run — 2 km;
- children’s races over 100 m and 400 m.
A total of 500 participants registered for the main distances, another 300 chose the 2 km Sakura Run, and more than 150 children took part in the 100 m and 400 m races.

Equipment used

IKS team’s operational area
To provide technical support for Uzhhorod Half Marathon, the IKS team used:
- four RACE RESULT 5000 timing systems and antennas to record participants’ times at the finish line and route checkpoints;
- disposable timing chips on race bibs to automatically link each participant’s crossing time to their result;
- the IKS starting system to ensure an accurate and fair start;
- IKS LED screens in the finish area for prompt results display;
- IKS network equipment to transfer data between timing systems, screens, and the online platform;
- IKS video recording systems to review disputed moments using video replays.
During the race, the IKS team received data from the timing systems, processed it in dedicated software, and published the results online in real time.
